Martvili Canyon
Boat tours through emerald waters beneath spectacular canyon walls.

An ethno-gastro-cultural destination in the heart of Samegrelo, where tradition, gastronomy, nature and human connection come together.
Our Story
Gulsunda was born from a deep love for this place, its people, and the traditions that have shaped Samegrelo for generations.
Our vision was simple: to create something the region had never seen before — a destination where culture, gastronomy, nature, and hospitality come together in one experience.
Inspired by traditional Megrelian recipes, our kitchen reimagines local flavors through a contemporary gastronomic approach, honoring heritage while presenting it in a new and exciting way.
Every detail, from the setting above the canyon to the food served at the table, reflects our desire to share the beauty, warmth, and spirit of Samegrelo with every guest who visits Gulsunda.

Built from stories
Authenticity can be felt in every detail.
One of the most distinctive features of Gulsunda is its collection of unique structures inspired by traditional Megrelian Oda architecture. Their handcrafted details, authentic wooden carvings and timeless character celebrate the cultural heritage of Samegrelo.
Inspired by decorative elements dating back to the 19th century, these structures embody craftsmanship, identity and storytelling. Rather than recreating the past, Gulsunda reinterprets it — creating spaces where tradition and contemporary hospitality meet.

Signature flavours
Our kitchen follows the seasons. Many of the vegetables, herbs and fruits we use are grown in our own garden, while other ingredients come from trusted local farmers and producers.
We choose ingredients for their quality and freshness, cook with what is naturally available throughout the year, and let the real flavours of Megrelian food speak for themselves.

Double-cheese bread with a golden crust, baked to order.

Crisp elarji balls served in a silky Megrelian walnut sauce.

Fresh cheese rolls in mint-infused milk, delicate and cooling.

Soft white ghomi paired with smoked sulguni and rich sauce.

Roasted chicken pieces served with tart tkemali and warm lavash.

Traditional cheese-filled pockets finished with creamy Megrelian sauce.

A colorful assortment of classic starters, dips and breads for sharing.

A generous Megrelian spread with pkhali, cheeses, sauces and fried bites.
…and the small wonders of the season — wild greens, smoked cheeses, slow-cooked meats and Megrelian sauces only made here.
